Do you have a few hours a week or days on a regular basis when you could help us as a volunteer driver? We require you to have a clean driving licence, your own car and your permission to carry out a DBS check. Mileage allowance is paid for any driving you carry out for us.

Due to the recent restrictions in lockdown York Wheels are pleased to announce that the Dial & Ride and York Wheels service has resumed. The bookings line will be open from 3rd August 2020 and the office will be staffed Monday to Friday from 8.00 am till 2.00 pm. The service will be run alongside government guidelines with all precautionary measures put into place to ensure the safety of our customers and drivers.
Dial & Ride will restrict the amount of people it will transport on the minibus and will adhere to the timetable as much as possible to local supermarkets and the City Centre. This service will now be cashless and payment will be taken by Debit or Credit card on the day of travel.
York Wheels will be offering transport for essential appointments such as hospital, GP, dentist and podiatory and payment will be made via the telephone when the booking is taken.
We look forward to returning and welcoming old and new customers.
